Deciphering Pathological Movement Patterns from Motion Analysis
Current work includes the creation of movement quality algorithms, the development of a mobile app for remote biomechanical assessments, and utilizing it to track biomechanical changes following patient responses to treatment.
MRI Biomarkers for Muscle Quality
Current work on this project includes the development of an algorithm for understanding muscle quality in clinical MRI imaging, the creation of fat mapping methods using radial distance from the disc center of rotation, and understanding how fat mapping related to pain and disability in chronic low back pain patients.
Digital Health for Tracking Symptoms and Predicting Response to Treatment
Current work with this project includes using patient Apple HealthKit data to track patterns in physical activity, heart rate, and sleep to predict pain flares, tracking patient recovery following treatments and surgery, and eventually predicting long-term post-operative outcomes.
